How does BAC Grading grade bullion?
Bullion is graded on a 1 to 10 scale derived from the Sheldon Scale. BAC's grading scale is comparable to scales used for coin grading.
In addition, bullion may earn a highly coveted "Supernova" notation if the piece holds the following attributes:
* Solid original condition and natural preservation;
* Extraordinary eye appeal; and
* Unique characteristics to the item type.
BAC estimates that less than 1 in 1000 of the items received for submission will receive this special BAC Supernova accreditation.
